The Certificate II in General Education for Adults is tailored to provide post school vocational training, the course focuses specifically on vocational planning and work readiness skills for employment.


The program is designed for people who need to improve their literacy (reading and writing), numeracy (maths), computing and general employability skills.


Objectives include the development of skills and knowledge to improve numeracy skills, conduct a project, investigate and develop a learning plan, and successfully communicate with others.


The program can be used as a pathway into employment, further study and community engagement.


Participants may enter courses in General Education for Adults from an extensive range of backgrounds. It would be suitable for school leavers, mature aged learners, unemployed and many other diverse groups of individuals. There are no limitations to entry based on age, gender, and physical ability, social or educational background

The program is delivered over 30 weeks and involves learners participating in the classroom and of self-paced practice activities over the duration.
